I’m killing two pigeons with a stone. Well, I’m not too crazy about this idiom. Perhaps we could change it to; I caught two pigeons with a net?
I’m counting my blessings because look at what I just received in the mail right on time for Christmas. A signed copy of The Gift Shop Bear. It should count for the photo challenge since I took a picture of it.
My grandchild will be thrilled.

A BIG thank you to Phyllis Harris and Susanna Hill.
It’s a heartwarming story about friendship. Which child hasn’t hugged a teddy bear?
Little Bear patiently awaits Christmas, especially for his best friend Annie, to pull him out of his box from the attic and play with him in her nana’s gift shop. While playing with Annie, Bear overhears customers saying Nanna is retiring and therefore closing the shop. What would become of him? Would he be locked up in a box forever and never be able to play with Annie again?
This book is a perfect gift to put under the Christmas tree and is beautifully illustrated by the author.
Happy Holidays to everyone, especially the KidLit community, for their support and friendship.
Blessings, indeed! What a wonderful gift for your grandchild.
(As for catching pigeons with a net, do we let them go??)
Happy Christmas!!
Yes, a wonderful gift for my GC. As for the pigeons, of course we let them go. Relax and enjoy the holiday season.
Yay for books in the mail! And so beautiful! I’m sure it will be enjoyed! 🙂
