Keeping Your Feet on the Ground-Tenere I Piedi per Terra

If you could change something in your life right now, what would it be?

I’ll go first.

I would sell everything and move to a cabin on a lake in Canada, with WIFI, a canoe, a generator, and CB radio for emergencies. I’d take long walks in the woods and make friends with the animals. I’d sit in front of the woodstove and write, read and doodle with no noise, no problems, just peace of mind. I’m comfortable and at ease with nature. It wouldn’t change much from my actual lifestyle. But this is not realistic. Right? We’ve all went through a tough 2020, and I’m praying that 2021 will bring some positive changes in our lives.

We all have our responsibilities, family, and business. We just can’t pick up our bags and leave. Our family needs us, and we can’t turn our backs on them. We can’t and will not. But what happens when everything seems to be falling apart. Your dreams, your future, your health? You find a reason to cope, which keeps you going no matter what happens, no matter if your dreams don’t come true. When I was twenty, I had many goals and plans for my future, but most never came true. But other good things did happen. So, take that into account when you feel down and low. Think positive.

In the long run, life happens along the way, and your plans and dreams change as you age. Could it be destiny? I wonder? Every step we take in our lives has a consequence. We are responsible for our future. It’s up to us to try and change our mindset and keep going no matter what.

Se potesti cambiare qualcosa nella tua vita in questo momento, cosa sarebbe?

Vado per prima.

Venderei tutto e mi trasferirei in una baita su un lago in Canada, con WIFI, canoa, generatore e radio CB per le emergenze. Farei lunghe passeggiate nei boschi e amicizia con gli animali. Mi siederei davanti alla stufa a legna a scrivere, leggere e scarabocchiare senza rumore, senza problemi, solo tranquillità. Sono a mio agio con la natura. Non cambierebbe molto dal mio vero stile di vita. Ma questo non è realistico. Vero? Il 2020 è stato un anno da dimenticare, spero che il 2021 ci porti la salute e cambiamenti positivi nella nostra vita.

Abbiamo tutti le nostre responsabilità, famiglia e lavoro. Non possiamo semplicemente prendere i nostri bagagli e andarcene. La nostra famiglia ha bisogno di noi e non possiamo voltare loro le spalle. Non possiamo e non lo faremo. Ma cosa succede quando tutto sembra andare a rotoli. I tuoi sogni, il tuo futuro, la tua salute? Trovi una ragione per farcela, che ti fa andare avanti qualunque cosa accada, non importa se i tuoi sogni non si avverano. Quando avevo vent’anni, avevo molti obiettivi e progetti per il mio futuro, ma la maggior parte non si è mai avverata. Ma sono successe altre cose buone. Quindi, tienilo in considerazione quando ti senti giù. Sii positivo.

A lungo termine, la vita si svolge lungo la strada e i tuoi piani e sogni cambiano con l’età. Potrebbe essere il destino? Chissà? Ogni passo che facciamo nella nostra vita ha una conseguenza. Siamo responsabili del nostro futuro. Sta a noi provare a cambiare la nostra mentalità e andare avanti, qualunque cosa accada.
