Picture Book Review – Moli and the Magic Tunnel

Author: Jayada S. Sarela, Illustrator Marina Halak

An excerpt from Amazon:

There are many ways to nurture children; and it is best through play. Stories that teach meditation without touching the word ; while will intertwine the breathing work and body awareness in a fun and active way.

A lovely book about self-awareness, feelings, and emotions. A must-have for your home library.

Moli is an introvert with no friends. He struggles with his feelings, but when he stumbles upon a magic tunnel named Tubee, (which reminds me of To be, or not to be), he meets up with his young grandpa and learns a strategy to cope with his changing emotions. An excellent read for the young and old alike. I love how the illustrator included the mouse experiencing the same emotions as Moli.

As a child, I spent my summer holidays by the swamp catching tadpoles and other creepy critters or running after wild animals. I wanted to become a veterinarian when I grew up. But destiny turned my life around - I moved to Italy, where I obtained my BS in Environmental Sciences and Territorial Management. When not working in our family-run business, I write, read, play with clay, doodle, and go on scavenger hunts in the woods, followed by my six cats.
