#50 Precious Words Story

This contest is put on by Vivian Kirkfield.

First time for me. Wow! Write a story in 50 words with a beginning, middle and end. Quite the challenge.

Here we go.

Title: What Goes Up Must Come Down by Eleanor A. Peterson

After visiting DaVinci’s flying machines at the museum, Chiara decides to build her own.

Chiara seeks help from her friend at the circus.

They blow up helium balloons and off she goes.

Geese get in her way. Pop! Pop!

Luckily she lands on the circus safety net.

I’ve always been fascinated by Da Vinci. He must have been an alien. This story takes place in Italy. It’s a PB – WIP which I am trying to illustrate.

Happy writing everyone!

As a child, I spent my summer holidays by the swamp catching tadpoles and other creepy critters or running after wild animals. I wanted to become a veterinarian when I grew up. But destiny turned my life around - I moved to Italy, where I obtained my BS in Environmental Sciences and Territorial Management. When not working in our family-run business, I write, read, play with clay, doodle, and go on scavenger hunts in the woods, followed by my six cats.
